Habár Monteverdi sosem írt billentyűs hangszerre, hatása nyomon követhető szinte minden zenei műfajban, hiszen életműve nemcsak az opera műfajának megalkotása révén vált kikerülhetetlenné a következő generációk számára, hanem az általa teremtett újfajta zenei nyelvezet miatt is. A koncerten elhangzó műveken keresztül felfedezhetjük, hogyan hatott Monteverdi zenei nyelvezete a későbbi komponisták zenéjére, itáliai, francia és német mesterek alkotásaira.

Habár Monteverdi sosem írt billentyűs hangszerre, hatása nyomon követhető szinte minden zenei műfajban, hiszen életműve nemcsak az opera műfajának megalkotása révén vált kikerülhetetlenné a következő generációk számára, hanem az általa teremtett újfajta zenei nyelvezet miatt is. A koncerten elhangzó műveken keresztül felfedezhetjük, hogyan hatott Monteverdi zenei nyelvezete a későbbi komponisták zenéjére, itáliai, francia és német mesterek alkotásaira. Zenei utazásunk során Orfeusz lábnyomait követve jutunk el a zene Monteverdi által kijelölt céljához: megérinteni a hallgató lelkét, feléleszteni az érzelmeket, és egyenesen a szívhez szólni. A hangversenyen Tóth-Vajna Zsombor Frescobaldi, Buxtehude, Tunder, François Couperin és Johann Sebastian Bach kompozícióit egy 1521-es Hyeronimus Bononiensis kópián játssza.
