Giacomo Puccini: SCHICCHI 2.0
Contemporary Opera - Premier
This performance is not recommended for chrildren under the age of 12.

We can safely say that Gianni Schicchi is one of the most entertaining comic works of opera literature, which stands out even in the opera oeuvre of Giacomo Puccini with its wittiness. Ingenious moments chase one another both in the vocal and orchestral parts, and also through the text and the incredibly funny situations. Not many works dare to apply the black, nay morbid humour that allows the comical family intrigues enfold right next to the deathbed of a relative.

Our offer

For her My Silks series, Palya invites female performers and singer-songwriters who are important and inspirational to her and introduces them to the Hungarian audience.

In the view of the institution's resident organist, these concerts are primarily distinguished by their sense of freedom and directness. The audience attending April's instalment of the series can experience this for themselves as they listen to a programme of works by Bach, Reger, Guilmant, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff performed by Alan Zsilka.
