6 pm – 9 pm Premiere of the concert films of Budapest Ritmo 2021

Budapest Ritmo is one of the most important world music festivals in Europe, bringing you again real world stars, one of a kind experiences, unique concerts and breathtaking music films in 2022. From the milieu of Mali music through heart-rending fado to fusion jazz from Oceania, this year’s Budapest Ritmo invites you to travel around the world with all the joy of discovery and adventure.

On the first day of the festival, the Budapest Ritmo showcase presents six special Balkan and Eastern European world music groups, selected by a professional jury. In addition, for the first time this year, music films will be screened: we will show four music films made in 2021 and commissioned by Budapest Ritmo: Gábor Reisz and Bálint Szimler’s film about Mordái, Attila Damokos’s picture featuring the Dresch String Quartet, the flick of Károly Cserepes, Gábor Karcis and Mátyás Kálmán, and Fanni Szilágyi’s film of the Odd ID in concert.

This event of the Bartók Spring is jointly presented by Müpa Budapest and Hangvető.
